We haven't blown away...yet

The crazy Seattle weather continues! Over a million people in the NW are without power. Almost all businesses are shut down… Microsoft’s entire Puget Sound campus is without power. As for me, well…we have no power either. Haven’t for about 12 hours, so I decided to venture out to Tully’s and jump on the WiFi. This place is a mad house. The line for coffee resembles the lines a Disneyland.

The howling winds knocked down 100’s of trees and power lines. Our neighborhood looks like a war zone. Last night streets we closed due to fallen trees and mudslides. In fact, my good friend who is 9 months pregnant had a transformer blow up in front of her while she was driving and then a tree feel on her car. Good news is she is fine, just very shaken up.

My colleague and I had a holiday party at the W Hotel last night, so we decided to brave the elements. Thankfully, we had a town car service lined up, so we didn’t have to deal with the driving. The drive home was an adventure!
