Quote of the day
We don't accomplish anything in this world alone ... and whatever happens is the result of the whole tapestry of one's life and all the weavings of individual threads from one to another that creates something."

"clubbing" in our running gear...
Is this ever a good idea? It is if you are running a 5K at midnight (or 11:55 PM). That's right, my friend J and and decided to run the Firecracker 5000 on July 3rd. We decided to partake in some pre-race carbo loading at Peso's...as we ate our mex food and drank sangria we pondered how we might feel later that evening...
Favorite quotes: "navigational error" and "monumental mistake"...by about 11 pm Peso's turned into a horrific clubbing atmosphere, so J, N, S and I decided to migrate closer to the start line. We ended up at at TS McHugh's and let's just say, the scenery for the guys wasn't as appealing.
Fashion DON'T: Some well meaning chap decided to debut his too tight WHITE Lycra Sleeveless Under Armour shirt over his beer belly...nice!
All in all, the race was a fun adventure. I must admit, it was a little odd running through the streets of Seattle at Midnight. Unfortuantly, I am still battling a cold, so I didn't break any speed records, but I am happy I did the run and just might do it again next year!
