Saturday randomness

Last Saturday turned out to be a completely random day. The day began with what was "supposed" to be a 10 mile training run (note: San Fran Half marathon is about 30 days away). Any way, my training run turned into something that I didn't expect, thanks to the dying battery in my Polar foot pod. Note: your distance and pace will NOT calculate correctly if the battery is low. Ultimately, I ended up running farther than I had intended...I am now a self proclaimed accidental over achiever. My legs were sore for 2 days.

To top off my day, I was able to see John Mayer and Sheryl Crow in concert! LOVE John's new CD Continuum. John's quote about the new CD "A lot of these songs are about coming to terms with getting older"...WHAT?? Isn't he 28?

Favorite songs from the concert:

Slow Dancing In A Burning Room -- Commentary: I think this is best song on the new album. It's heartbreaking and brilliant. He could not have described a doomed relationship better than he did in this song.

Why Georgia (this is my all time fav John Mayer song)

I Don't Trust Myself (With Loving You)

I will admit, I was totally bummed that he didn't play "Clarity" or "Your body is a Wonderland".

Quote of the day...

"Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can't lose."

New training partner

I will admit, I like gadgets. I purchased my fifth Polar HRM about 6 months ago, but I just discovered the Polar Personal Trainer and Weblink last week. The Polar RS200sd Running Computer™ has the abiltiy to track pace, distance etc and you can easily download your info to the your online personal trainer.
